Frequently asked questions about the Tournament.
What
level or tournament should we play in?
All star and club teams
Level I - Elite teams, teams looking for the top competetions
Level II - Teams that are more recreational.
Level III - TEams that are at the novice level.(Special rules -no pressing untilthe last 5 minutes of the game)
The tournament director has the right to move teams or combine divisions
Are
AAU cards required?
All players, coaches and bench personnel must have AAU cards.
In order to get a tournament pass, each coach must show his or her
AAU cards. NO Exceptions. AAU Cards can be purchased at the door!
Please get your cards on line prior to the tournament.
What
proof of age or grade do we need?
Coaches are responsible for haveing their teams proff of Age/Grade. The information should be carried with them at all times. All Plaers must have current AAU Cards. Players can not be added to a roster after team checkin with out the tournament directors approval.
What does grade based mean?
Teams
will play by the grade of their oldest player (2009 – 2010 school year).
What days will the tournament games be played on?
Teams should prepare to play on Saturday,
Sunday & Monday
When
will the games start on those days?
Games will start at 8:00am on Saturday, 8:00am on Sunday and 8:00 am
Monday
Games will be done Monday at 6:00pm
What is the tournament format?
Based on the amount of teams in each grade division. There may be over 16
- 8th grade teams in the level 1 division.
We
will try and split them up by states and regions.
When
and where is team check in?
The coach must check their team in prior to their first game.
There is a designated check in area.
Check in will be start Friday 3:00 pm. This is the best time register. You
will avoid long lines
What if I want to protest the grade of someone?
You must put up a $100 non-refundable fee to protest. If thy did not turn in the proper credentials or players
grade/age , they will forfeit the game.
The coach may also be banned from the event and reported to AAU Nationals.
In order to
protest, the person protesting must show their credentials first.
We take playing in the wrong division seriously.
When
will the brackets and schedules be available?
All scheduling information will be available
7- 10 days prior to the
tournament. It is the coaches
duty to check for updates and changes.
Who
is the tournament director?
Matt Williams is the tournament director.
He is the Pacific District Governor and the Girls Basketball Sports
Director. Matt is the founder
and director of Jam On It Basketball Academy. He has been running
tournaments for over 23 years. We
will have experienced and knowledgeable staff assisting with the
tournament. The commissioners at the
tournament to act on behalf of the tournament director.
