Sara Schopper has been a coach at Jam On It since 1999. She has worked side by side with Matt Williams to build the best Basketball Academy in the area. Sara has taken Jam On It teams to Nationals in 2001, 2002, 2003, & 2004. She also won the Arizona Elite Viewing Tournament in 2006 with her 15 & under group. That same year, Jam On It won 3rd place in their bracket in the End Of The Trail, Oregon City Summer Viewing Tournament. Sara has coached the best players in the Reno/Sparks area. With her success at Jam On It, she became the Head Coach at Reed High School in 2006.
Since then, her Reed team has made 2 state appearances, won 1 Zone Championship, and has been rated the best team in the North 06, 07, 08, & 09. Sara works hard and puts her players first. She is dedicated to building youth sports and creating a safe, fun atmosphere for children to learn the sport she loves, “basketball”.

Mychal Williams has been affiliated with the Jam On It organization since 1999. He has worked side by side with Matt Williams and is an acting coach for all age groups and the Boys Director of the program. He attended the University of Missouri Culver-Stockton and with a combination of his education, admirable personality, dedication, and commitment to basketball has been very successful in regards to producing some of Northern Nevada’s best athletes. Mychal has many achievements including coaching at Christian Legacy with a first year record of 27-3 not to mention the division title as well. Nationally Mychal is the leader of a two time Bronze Division winner in the Sports Division National Tournament hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2006 and 2007.
With that being said Mychal is an outstanding leader, teacher, and guide to creating a fun, learning, and safe atmosphere. He is dedicated to building youth sports and giving student athletes opportunities to be involved in basketball at a competitive level with the sky as their limit!

Sharice Green was born in Portland, Oregon. She has been involved with youths as long as she can remember. She attended Benson High School where she played and started Varsity Girl’s basketball all four years. She also participated in Woman’s Basketball program at The University of Nevada and was on a scholarship. While attending UNR she worked as a supervisor for theYouth Sports Enrichment Program for the City of Reno. This is where she coached and mentored Middle School and High School Youths the basics of basketball as well as life. Sharice has been a coach with Jam On It since 2003 and continues to create a safe environment as well as providing excellent life skill while teaching the game of basketball. |

Jose Parra, 22, was born in Chicago,Illinois and raised in Lovelock,NV. In Lovelock Jose attended Pershing County High School where he played 3 years of varsity basketball as well as 2 years of varsity football. Jose excelled mostly in football but basketball was his true passion. Today Jose is a junior at the University of Nevada Reno, and is majoring in criminal justice. For two years he has been coaching the 5th and 6th grade co-ed basketball team at Bailey Charter Elementary School. This year Jose was hired as the Vaughn Middle School boys basketball team coach. In his first season at Vaughn he was able to bring structure and discipline to an under achieving team. The team finished the season with an overall 15-4 record along with a league title. Jose helps his players excel both on and off the court, and truely believes coaching is a privelage not a right. |

Omarri Williams,
is 20 years old. He was born in Orlando, Florida. He moved to Reno, Nevada in the 8th grade where his basketball career started at Mendive Middle School. He went on to play basketball on the JV team at Reed High school and as a sophomore he moved up to the varsity squad where he flourished as a role model and a leader of his team. During his high school career, he was successful at making First Team All State for three consecutive years. After high school, Omarri played at Lassen College and is now looking to further his career in basketball. He has been involved with the Jam On It organization since he was nine years old and is now coaching and mentoring within the Academy. His motto is “Go hard or Go home” in which he lives by on and off the court religiously! |
